These are some of my mom’s milk bottles from the years that she milked cows. Right now they are still sitting in my entry waiting to be placed in the attic for the time being. Cecily loves to climb on them for some reason. I keep thinking about putting them away but hesitate to do so because they remind me of a little dream that we have. We want to have a cow. And I want to fill those milk bottles with clean, whole milk. I dream of using it to make my own butter, yogurt, and ice cream and so many other delicious things. Right now it is just a dream, but someday!

ooo… I get shivers just thinking of your dream. We’ve made butter from organic cream from the grocery store but are still scouting out a way for us to buy it direct legally… we have some leads and exciting prospects. I hope you get your dream! Our land is not ideal for a cow even though it seems that every property around us is. I”m just embracing it and we’re thinking of doing some pastured pork. To sell as well. There’s nothing like nitrate free bacon and pure additive free lard.
