Our sweet little two year old wearing her "C" tree crown that holds a swing; her most favorite place to play.
Whether it is to match a theme of any occasion or a special one to be used for each birthday, a wool felt crown is a unique touch. I have made a crown for each of my girls with the intention that they would be saved for future birthdays but they have both preferred to keep them out to continue wearing, both for dress up and for those special occasions such as, oh, a trip to the grocery store. Because I use sturdy 100% wool felt, the crowns stay in great condition through hours of play and being stuffed in the toy box. As a side note; I actually made the first couple with felt other than wool and they were not nearly as durable.
I usually offer a couple of ready made crowns in my online store, chickadeeswing.com and am always willing make a duplicate of one already made although I find that custom made ones are the most popular.
I have made custom crowns ranging from a desired theme or color to very specific details (always with my own artistic interpretation).
The Giveaway: For this give-away, I am offering one basic custom crown. From the comments one winner will be chosen via random number generator. The winner may choose the colors and theme with one main detail.
To enter the give-away just leave a comment (I would love to hear what you would like on the crown). And, because I am moving into the slowest months of the year, I would like to let more people know about my store. So, if you would like a second entry, just share (even if that is just telling a friend) either the link to my store, to the facebook page or this post and then comment again to tell me.
I’ll close comments and announce a winner at 8 pm EST, Thursday, January 6.
Your comment may not show up right away because I haven’t yet approved it (I get a lot of spam), but don’t worry, it will be approved!
oh how exciting!!!! I would love to see a crown that had a knight and a dragon on it! My boys LOVE the whole knight/castle/king theame! Another great theame for little boys is dinosaures!!! But i have to say the pirate one appeals to my boys as well! 🙂
You know I’d love me a girly birthday crown. My boys have loved and enjoyed their crown, and I’m glad we did a unisex crown…however, a girly crown would be warmly accepted as well 🙂
I also told my friends about it on fbook :0 I’m shameless!
These are adorable! I have 3 boys so either a green one eyed monster crown or a blue shark themed crown would do! I will be sharing this for you!
Yup, shared with all my FB fans!
Maybe a little robin and nest in a tree with a swing or a mermaid or unicorn!!! For the boy…hmmm, a boy fishing perhaps. I love your crowns Missy!
Lol, I am also sharing this on facebook so all my peeps can see your great work!

Your crowns are just adorable! My 2 little girls are all about monkeys (well, the older one is, the younger one is too little too have a choice 🙂 )so I’d love a sweet monkey crown, but I like the intials on them too.
You make the most darling crowns! I don’t know if I’m allowed to enter, since I won last month. But I’m commenting anyway just because those crowns are so amazingly cute!
Cars would be fun…of course anything is great:)

I would loveee the pirate themed one!
I facebooked it!
These are great! I`m glad I saw the share from sweetcheecksbaby. I have two girls. They LOVE anything pink or purple. I know my oldest likes pics of castles and princesses…although I think the ballet slippers are super cute. My yongest would probably like a monkey hanging from a tree, cuz she`s a little acrobat monkey herself.
sharing this on FB!
What cute crowns! Myoldest girl would love a princess and castle crown. My youngest would love a monkey in a tree…she’s a monkey herself! Anything pink or purple would do!
Love your crowns Missy! Will share on FB.
These are a great idea for dressup! Super cute.

I’d probably like one with a train or airplane 🙂

These are awesome. I heard about you via Beth Ricci on Facebook! I’m a portrait photographer and would love to use some of these as props. You can check out my work at http://www.monaelisaphoto.com. And I’ll also share it on my facebook page. Again, these are great!
LOVE these! We still have Jeremiah’s (one of the early non-wool ones) and he wears it throughout the week; to preschool, church, everywhere!I would love a ‘seasons’ based one, I think that’d be rad 🙂
Oh, and I shared your store on that last ‘our journey home’ post, does that count? Also passed this on to my sis-in-law via email. Again, love the crowns! (and all your crafty goodness 🙂 )
I just heard about these from “dea” and I think they are just so cute!! I have 3 daughters and my 2 youngest would be all over these:) I would love to see a cowgirl style or a little princess. They are great, keep up the good work!!
I would love a butterfly one! I shared on Facebook and hope you get some new visitors to your site and blog 🙂
Micah LOVES tools, so a crown with his initials and a hammer and nails would be amazing! He’d love it! Or trains… or hockey!
Theses are so cute! My 3 year old daughter loves dancing, music, and princesses so I would choose something like that.
Love these, there are SO many options! But I think my little girl would love a butterfly crown.
Gracie has a birthday coming up this month. She currentle loves Dora & princesses So that she could enjoy the crown for many years to come, I would choose a PINK princess crown. I enjoy keeping up with your blog and I have shared your website on FB 🙂
Well, if I’m not too late, I’d love to be entered into the draw. My daughter’s birthday is coming up and since it will be difficult for me to find items with her name on it (because her name is AdaLynn all one word) I’d probably most want something with her name on it. And I love that reversible butterfly one so something similar would be cool:-)
I shared it on Facebook. Even if I’m too late, it is nice to share such awesome stuff!
