At the beginning of February, my husband surprised me with a lens for his old camera. I was thrilled to have something other than my phone for taking pictures and I have been enjoying my friend, Krista’s, weekly photos on Scavenger Hunt Sunday, as well as Beth’s, who joined last week. So this week, I decided to try my hand at joining with some images. It was fun to have a challenge for the week that is a completely different art media than I ever work in.
{How it works}
- Anyone can participate.You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
- If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
- Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
- Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
- Have fun!

My photographer husband tells me that the shadow from our counter framed this picture well, I just thought she was beautiful.:)

Love all of your interpretations on Ashley’s Scavenger Hunt, Marissa. It’s always fun to see what others think up for the prompts.
Thank you so much for sharing at Your Sunday Best!
Hi! Congrats on beautiful Kathleen. It’s my mama’s name, and I’ve always loved it! Anyways, the cloth pads have finally made their way to DP and I gave Kristin Fry (an AIM missionary who works there) your business email addy as I can’t seem to find your personal one, though I thought I had it! Anyways, I think she’ll be in touch so if you get an email from her that’s who it is. She was SO grateful and said the timing was AMAZING and how needed they are. (DP recently rescued lots of older street girls…which is great!…but the girls have been missing school due to lack of pads). I wholeheartedly apologize for not getting the suitcases to DP earlier. Same city, but we are nowhere near them and it just took longer than we hoped for to get the pads delivered. With Blair working…and me at home with the babies, etc! Anyways, thanks again for the wonderful donation and all your work for it to come to pass. Kristin was so excited (she’d been on furlough when you and I connected last year about this so she wasn’t in the loop) and I can only imagine the great impact it will have for the education and future of these rescued street girls!. Take care, Aletha
