I thought I would share this weeks meal plan as I haven’t done that in a while. It isn’t fancy, we aren’t too fancy lately. But, we are loving the deer meat that is in our freezer, it is so good. I am excited in the food department right now because a) I have my heirloom vegetable seeds, b) we ordered fifteen hens on Saturday to start up our flock, and c) this month we will be headed to the auction to purchase our first ever beef that we will raise ourselves! So on that note here you go.
If you would like, please link in the comments with a meal plan or recipe that you want to make this week. I love getting new ideas! And let me know if there is anything that you want the recipe for and I will see what I can do.

Sounds yummy!! What time is supper 😉
We need to have you and your family over some time, Ashley!
We have done two deer loins that friends gave us and made our own BBQ sauce for them and baked them and it was really good! Might be a bit higher on the sugar side than you usually go, but I am sure you could adjust… We used 1/2c ketchup, 2tblsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp Worchestire, onion flakes (I had ones from last summer’s garden I dehydrated which have been handy all winter!), salt and pepper to taste. Baste it on the loins and bake. The sauce is yummy on rice too! Thanks for posting this 🙂
That sounds great, Ash, we have been doing some experimenting and have been enjoying our deer meat a lot! Even though I grew up eating deer meat, I still have to convince myself to pull it out of the freezer and I don’t know why because each time we love it.
Thanks…I think I can do some of this. It helps to at least see what other people do:)
Kmarie, I don’t know if you do smoothies much but one thing that you can do to get in some more healthy fat is to put in some coconut oil as well. I don’t always, but it works well.
It all sounds so good, Missy!I’m hoping to try this cauliflower crust recipe for pizza one day soon… just came across it this week.
